TABLE 004: TIME

For our third Table, Café Kuol invites you to slow down and consider something we are all constantly moving through: time. It moves too slowly, it races past us, it’s treasured, it’s wasted, it’s relative. It can be free, spent, worth more than anything else. What’s more precious to us than our time?  What do we ask of time? What does time ask of us?

Through a carefully considered menu, sound, design, scent, ritual and conversation, this intimate multisensory gathering explores the many ways we experience time and our relationship with it. From waiting and anticipation to ageing, change, reliving, presence and the people we choose to spend our time with.

As with every Cafe Kuol Table, the theme extends beyond the plate. Ingredients play on time: fresh, aged, fermentation, pickled, cured. While sensory details and intentional rituals throughout the evening invite you to experience the idea rather than simply talk…
